Re: New Zealand in England
Good article wolf. Im expecting England to win but there will be some fight from New Zealand. I think England will win 2-0 or 2-1.

Re: New Zealand in England
See England are going in to the first test unchanged, with Hoggard missing out.

Re: New Zealand in England
Is there anywhere to get an audio commentary online? I used to be able to get TMS, but I think that's only available in the UK now. Cricinfo's text commentary is OK, but I'd prefer to hear it.
Any suggestions?

Re: New Zealand in England
Interesting first day, I think the honours are with England for the moment but without McCullum they'd be all over NZ by now.
In terms of bowling options, I see that a certain S Jones has picked up a 5-fer for Worcs today. What do you guys see as his prospects for getting into the team this year/for the Ashes???

Re: New Zealand in England
The New Zealand top order is useless. McCullum, Oram and Vettori are their best batters and they are not even specialists. There is only going to be one winner in this series.

Re: New Zealand in England
W'hey it's on real tele (the highlights at least) 3/4 of hour on channel 5 at 7.15pm! Well done the Daily Telegraph and Channel 5!
Boo to digital and thank god I've still got my old analogue tele in the kitchen because the digital signal like all digital signals was crap! Digital TV is the biggest con on the planet along with SKY TV.
Seems to me I'm a Googly bowler and not quite a Leg Spinner!

Re: New Zealand in England
Good day for England and as someone has said, save for McCullum England were well on top. Need to get the last 4 wickets early doors and then build a 150/200 run lead.
As for Jones, I'd love him to come back but he needs to play a summer of cricket and show that he is over his injury problems.

Re: New Zealand in England
Mccullum deserved a centruy. Not much resistance from other Kiwi batsmen. England are in firm control, no doubt about that.

Re: New Zealand in England
Good day for England again, got the kiwis out for under 300, Sidebottom seemed back to his best and we managed to get to 68 without loss, despite it being a stop start day.

Re: New Zealand in England
Yeah what a pile of rubbish that is - light meters and all that. I saw one of the Umpires trying to explain it and what he came up with was a total pile of tosh. Light is light no matter where it is in the world. They should agree one specific Lux measurement that they all agree is the minimum and that is the same throughout the world. So if it drops below a the standard Lux measurement the game stops whether you're a umpire from the West Indies, Australia or Sweden irrespective of what you perceive to be good or bad light!
Thought Lux was soap? Think again -
