David yours looks most impressive - it looks like it tastes and smells good as well! Do you do that every day?

Seems to me I'm a Googly bowler and not quite a Leg Spinner!

I mix it up as much as budget allows but I always follow the same basic 10 rules:

Woah, my lunch is nothing like that. I have a ham roll with a pack of crisps and a chocolate bar....or two Tongue. I really don't have a good diet, and am considering improving it to help with my cricket. I eat a fair amount of junk food, but I only do it because I can get away with it. I normally start the day with a big bowl of cereal, normally Coco Pops or Corn Flakes, then I have something snacky at break at 6th form, then my lunch. I then normally come home and have a snack of some kind, I try and make it fruit though, be it an apple or a punnet of raspberries. Then I have tea which, tbh, is normally something and chips lol, I do have pasta fairly often aswell though, and I have steak twice a week. On a Sunday I have a roast, roast beef if i'm lucky. I'm not a fan of vegetables though, carrots liturally make me spew, hate the things, my roast dinner therefore consists of a load of meat, 5-6 yorkshire puds, a fair few roast potatoes and a some homemade mash, with no gravy.

I'm sure you'll agree that it's not the best of diets lol, especially the sunday roast, but I just am inable to put on weight until the cricket season starts when I am doing more consistent excercise and therefore have a higher appetite. So what would you reccomend I do to change my diet in a positive manner ? I'm not a fan of vegetables, as mentioned above, other than potatoes, and then I don't even like boiled potatoes. I can eat lettuce and cucumber and salady stuff but when it comes to normal veggies I cannot eat them, I've tried, but i cannot get them down. Any reccomendations ? Do I focus on the fruit side of things more ?

2 things.

1. read this page (there will be a test later) http://www.harrowdrive.com/precison-cricket-nutrition/

2. Saying 'I don't like veg' is a common thing. I think it's because we are forced veggies when we are young. However I think it really means nothing. There are so many varieties, flavours and ways of cooking veg there must be something you like. It's just trial and error.

Here is a small list of veg (not even including preperation methods):

Brussels sprout
Cabbage (red, green, white)
Spinach
Aubergine
Cress
Onion
Turnip
Potato (sweet, white)
Pumpkin
Tomato
Sweetcorn
Peas
Peppers (red, green, orange, yellow)
Cucumber
Chillis
Courgette
Lentils
Green Beans
Asparagus
Celery
Garlic
Avocado
Leek
Beetroot
Carrot
Ginger
Lettuce

That's before we even get to the less known stuff. If you tried one of those a week you might come across something you like to add to your list (which by the way is quite long if you say you like 'salad stuff')

I think as you get older you're more than likely to come round to the idea that actually some veggies are quite nice, especially if you stay involved in sport and you want to get the best performance out of your body. It's good that "King Pieterson" is even thinking about it because as you reach your 20's it may be that your job will mean you're not that active and that combined with alcohol will start to catch up on you - so you're heading in the right direction mate!

I honestly love veggies I eat any of them and live off fruit as well.

My b-fast normally consists of a bowl of cereal and then some fruit.

My lunch - Meat Pie,Burger,Chicken tenders & choc milk & a snack (maybe a cookie)

After school - lots of fruit

Supper - a variation of something with chips/beans and veg

then some fruit in the arvo

I dont do the whole lunch box thing Confused

Harrowdrive what do you do for a job then ??
